Fancy trying a new hobby for the new year? Research shows that taking part in creative activities boosts your mental health and wellbeing so we're running an introduction to the practice of creative journaling. Come along and get creative with us as we have a go at making our own creative journals - incorporating art journaling and reflective writing - you don't need any artistic or writing skills/experience to give it a go!
The workshop will give an introduction to different forms of creative journaling and provide materials for you to start making your own, together with reflective writing prompts.
If you have a journal or any notebook you would like to use bring it along, but it's not necessary as we will provide basic notebooks to get you started.

Stuart Henson reads from his book of Christmas poems, accompanied by John Crawford on melodeon and guitar.
Get into the festive mood with poems that celebrate Christmases past and present. John’s music, drawing on the English and French folk traditions, weaves in and out of lyrics that feature birds, beasts, bells, and the Nativity.
Twelve Days is a pamphlet-sized collection of poetry with a dozen wonderful illustrations by Houghton-based artist Bill Sanderson—for which he won the Michael Marks Illustrator’s Award in 2022.
